Navajyothi operates various programs for children and young adults with developmental disabilities in many districts of Kerala. Idukki became one of the foremost districts in Kerala that Navjyothi chose its work among children. This district has already begun two centers called navatheeram where vocational skill training program for children has been introduced several months ago. Vocational training program for children, thus becomes the first program of Navajyothi.
A second program that followed the vocational skill training was supported employment training for young adults. Many young adults with disabilities are unable to find jobs in the community in a competitive market. Navajyothi helps them to find jobs, trains them and places them with support staffs. they, thus, earn a moderate living by making money in a competitive job market where work is scarce for people with disabilities.
A third program of Navajyothi is to bring awareness among public of what developmental disability is and educate them about programs and services available to them. Public awareness of the concept of disability is very limited in a literate society such as Kerala. Navajyothi helps them to bring it up at all times.

 Surveys to locate individuals with disabilities and analyze their problems.
Medical camps in all districts of Kerala to enable children with disabilities to obtain their Disability certificates.
Facilitate supports and grants from funding Agencies and the government.
Programs for Parents to empower them.
Marketing exhibitions for products produced by individuals with disabilities.
